Estacia grew up on a farm near Shepardsville, Indiana surrounded by dairy cows and pigs. There has never been a time that she hasn’t been the owner of a pet of some sort. As a young girl, Estacia loved riding horses and visiting with her Nana and Papaw. These days, she loves to spend as much time with her husband and two boys as possible. Her extended furry family includes a miniature Schnauzer named Champ, and adorable Old English Bulldog named Sissy, and a little stray kitten named Tux. She enjoys riding 4-wheelers, hiking, and being outdoors.
Estacia has worked with animals professionally since high school, but she’s been with Heritage Animal Hospital since 2008. Some of her favorite parts of her job include assisting with surgeries, performing diagnostic testing, and of course snuggling the adorable puppies and kittens that stop in for a visit! The most rewarding part of her job is when she is able to help to save the life of someone’s pet.
Estacia Fun Fact: Her favorite animal related movie is Beethoven.
Kala was born and raised on a small farm in Annapolis, Indiana, along with her twin sister, an older brother, and an older sister. As children, her and her siblings were surrounded by horses, pigs, goats, and natural wildlife. They had many pets growing up, such as cats, dogs, hamsters, and Guinea pigs. Today, Kala has a Red Heeler/Border Collie mix named Roscoe, a Boston Terrier/Pug mix named Fred, and two Pygmy goats named Winston and Billy. She has no doubts that her furry family will continue to grow!
In high school, Kala continued to show great interest in the health and well-being of animals, so she found work at both a goat farm and an Angus farm. Her love for tending to animals naturally led her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She chose to continue her education at the Vet Tech Institute in Indianapolis, Indiana. It was there that Kala would become a successful student, making the Dean’s list each term, and later graduating with her Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Science in May 2015. In November 2015 she passed the Veterinary Technician National Exam to become a Registered Veterinary Technician.
Kala actually became part of the Heritage family months before her official start date. She chose Heritage Animal Hospital for her externship in March 2015 for the opportunity to learn and gain experience in the field. We all loved her dedication and drive from the very beginning! She truly believes that the best part of what she does comes from the feeling of satisfaction she gets when she knows that she has lent a helping hand to every patient that comes through our doors.
Besides spending time at the hospital caring for all of her patients, Kala enjoys spending time outdoors. She loves free range shooting, boating, and fishing. She and her father share a love of working on old cars and fixing them up. She loves to spend time in the kitchen where she can bake all the goodies her coworkers can eat! She also loves to spend extra time with her friends, family, and pets.
Kala Fun Fact: Kala’s favorite animal related movie is Cats vs. Dogs
Kiery was born and raised in Terre Haute, Indiana. She has always had a passion to help animals. As a young child, she remembers always being the one to pick up the stray animals in her neighborhood and feed and care for them. As an adult, she was able to help even more by volunteering her time at Indianapolis Animal Care and Control. Although she does not currently own any pets, she fondly recalls her favorite childhood dog, Indie, a gorgeous white, German Shepard. Because of him, Kiery is partial to large dogs and she hopes she can add one to her life real soon!
Kiery knew from the beginning that she would one day love to have a career that would allow her to spend time with animals of all kinds, but wasn’t quite sure there was anything available in a professional aspect, other than becoming a veterinarian. She was originally on her way to a degree in Psychology from Indiana State University, until she researched careers in the veterinary field and came across some information on a Veterinary Technician degree. After stumbling upon this discovery, she quickly applied to the IBC Vet Tech Institute, was later accepted and finally graduated in March 2014. Kiery joined the Heritage family in May 2015. Since then, she has become a valuable asset to our team! Her favorite part of her job so far is that every day is different. She says you never have to worry about monotony!
Kiery Fun Fact: Kiery’s favorite animal related movies/shows are Ace Ventura and Pound Puppies!

I have been taking my dogs and cats to Heritage for many years. I also have friends that go to Dr. Pat & Dr. Jessica. They are extremely knowledgeable in every aspect of animal health care. Even on mammals you would never even think to take to the vet. Love the front desk staff in their caring attitudes, even though they are extremely busy. I would recommend anyone to take their four legged babies to visit Heritage Animal Hospital.
